We've ranked the top hotels in Hawaii based on a fair analysis of awards, expert recommendations and user ratings. The following are brief introductions to some of the top hotels.
Halekulani
Halekulani remains a traveler favorite for its accommodation and breathtaking views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. Rooms include free Internet access, flat-panel TVs and welcome fruit and chocolate. And then there are those wonderful ocean views available in all "but the courtyard rooms. Recent visitors also praise the helpful service staff. Halekulani also has three restaurants, and the Lewers Lounge is a great evening place thanks to its nightly jazz performances.
Mauna Kea Beach Hotel
The Manna Kea Beach Hotel is one of the Big Island's most historic properties: in the 1960s, the site was hand-picked by founder, Laurance S. Rockefeller, specifically for its beautiful uniquely shaped shoreline. Each of the 258 rooms comes with plenty of space for you to spread out, as well as a mini-fridge. Although this historic hotel may not be as flashy as some of the Big Island's other luxury resorts, you will find a golf course, the full-service spa by Mandara, and 11 seaside tennis courts. The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is also proud of several restaurants, all of which serve up different island-inspired cooking.
Andaz Maul at Wailea
Great grounds, attentive service and a new Iron Chef-helmed restaurant are just a few of the reasons why guests are talking excitedly about the Andaz Maui at Wailea. Each of the Andaz Maui's 290 guest rooms and suites is equipped with white linens, wood furnishings and private halls, and recent visitors praise the design of the rooms, especially the interesting island theme.
