China is increasingly producing blockbusters of its own and finding a ready audience among Chinese moviegoers.One example is "Ne Zha"，which became the first domestically-made cartoon film to top the Chinese box-office for the year,earning about ＄715 million since its opening in July.The movie proved to be successful even overseas in markets like Australia,the U.K.and the U.S.，where it earned nearly ＄60 million.During the Chinese new year in February,the busiest time of year for the Country's movie industry,science fiction blockbuster "The Wandering Earth" earned more than ＄400 million in a single week.
New records were also set for the long National Holiday early in October,when the government encouraged patriotic （爱国的） films,including one called "My People,My Country"，which sings the achievements of Chinese heroes.
The bad news for Hollywood in China comes as it faces challenges of its back home,where more would-be moviegoers are choosing to stay at home and watch films produced by DVD renting companies,such as Netflix,Inc.And Amazon.com Inc.
